THIS SECTION IS INTENDED ONLY FOR SUGGESTIONS.
USE AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION
SAW PANEL IS OVERHEATING
1) CHECK THAT AIR FILTER IS CLEAN REPLACE FILTER WITH PUROLATOR A40004 OR EQUIVALANT
2) ENSURE FAN IS NEAR THE TOP OF CABINET, AND IS SUCKING AIR "OUT" OF CABINET
SAW HEAD WILL NOT RISE AFTER CUT IS MADE (WEBSAW ONLY)
1) CHECK THAT CARRIAGE DAMPER IS NOT CONTINUOUSLY BLOWING AIR. THIS INDICATES BAD SEALS IN THE CARRIAGE CYLINDER SEALS: (PC-0001-1) BOTH ARE REQUIRED
2) CHECK LOWER PROX SWITCH (EG-0004 & EC-0001) IS ACTIVATED AND OPERATIONAL
3) JTHW CABLE FROM 50TB PLUGGED INTO PARALLEL PRINTER PORT ON COMPUTER. SOLUTION: CONNECT JTHW CABLE TO CORRECT PORT ON COMPUTER. DO NOT CONNECT ANYTHING TO PARALLEL PRINTER PORT
SAW HEAD WILL NOT DROP (WEBSAW ONLY)
1) CHECK THAT CARRIAGE SAYS "UP" POSITION ON SCREEN. IF SAW HEAD IS UP AND THE SCREEN INDICATES ANYTHING BUT "UP", UPPER PROX OR CABLE IS BAD
2) CHECK THAT INFEED SENSORS ARE SEEING THE BOARD ENTER THE MACHINE. IF THERE IS NO SIGNAL THAT THE SAW SEES THE BOARD IT WILL NOT BEGIN CYCLE. INFEED SENSORS OR CABLES ARE BAD.
3) IF CARRIAGE SAYS UP AND CYCLE BEGINS WHEN THE BOARD ENTERS THE MACHINE, CHECK THE CERAM VALVE THAT CONTROLS THE CARRIAGE CYLINDER (CENTER VALVE IN BACK USUALLY) MECHANICALLY OPERATE THE CYLINDER BY TURNING THE RED SCREW ON THE SOLENOID.
A) IF IT DOESN'T OPERATE, THE CERAM IS BAD OR NEEDS OIL.
B) IF IT DOES OPERATE, CHECK THAT IT IS RECEIVING SIGNAL. TURN ON M54 VALUE, CHECK FOR VOLTAGE AT THE SOLENOID PLUG. IF YOU'RE GETTING VOLTAGE AT THE PLUG, THE SOLENOID IS BAD. IF THERE IS NO VOLTAGE AT THE PLUG, CALL FOR FURTHER ASSISTANCE.
MAKES ONE CUT AND STOPS (WEBSAW ONLY)
1) CHECK THAT AFTER THE FIRST CUT IS MADE THAT THE ON SCREEN INDICATOR SAYS "SAW CARRIAGE UP" IF IT DOES NOT SAY UP:
A) CHECK THAT THE UPPER PROX SWITCH IS OPERATIONAL
B) CHECK THE UPPER CARRIAGE IS MAKING IT UP HIGH ENOUGH FOR THE UPPER PROX SWITCH TO ACTIVATE
C) CHECK THAT CARRIAGE DAMPER IS NOT CONTINUOUSLY BLOWING AIR. THIS INDICATES BAD SEALS IN THE CARRIAGE CYLINDER
MOTORS NOT RESPONDING (WEBSAW WITH PARKER AMPS ONLY)
1) CHECK THAT ALL AMPS HAVE LIGHT OF SOME SORT. IF THERE IS POWER GOING TO THE AMP AND THERE ARE NO LEDS, THE AMP IS DEAD. USING A HEAT GUN TO GENTLY APPLY HEAT CAN MAKE A FAULTY AMP COME ON. THIS IS A TEMPORARY WORK AROUND UNTIL THE AMP CAN BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED.
2) CHECK THAT POTS ON AMPS ARE PROPERLY SET. TURN THEM UP UNTIL YOU HEAR A BUZZING, THEN TURN THEM BACK JUST UNTIL THE BUZZING STOPS.
3) FOLLOW TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE DOWNLOAD HERE
